Backcountry Tourer Lesson Level-10
At level ten you are a very competent snowboarder in all conditions; with a backpack; in heavy snow through to deep powder, on all terrain. Level ten snowboarders are able to select the safest backcountry route, analyze present and future snow conditions through snow stability tests, weather forecasts. These snowboarders can plan and travel through the backcountry in all snow conditions, using varying navigation techniques, on overnight, and/or multi-day tours.

Backcountry Explorer Lesson Level-9
Level nine snowboarders are very competent advanced snowboarders who board all mountain, all terrain, all conditions, venturing out into the backcountry (non-patrolled/no snow control) areas. Level nine snowboarders are learning about snowboarding techniques in the backcountry, basic backcountry safe travel, on full-day tours, regularly.

Mountain Explorer Lesson Level-8
Level eight snowboarders are confident advanced snowboarders who carve/dynamic turn, on all terrain and in all snow conditions. Level eight snowboarders can snowboard with carving turns on black runs. Level eight snowboarders regularly board off-piste in varying terrain, including open and closed tree runs, in shallow ankle through to waist deep powder, within and outside ski resort boundaries. Learning about backcountry snowboarding and snowboarding outside the resort's boundaries on half-day tours.
Advanced Snowboard Lesson - Level 7
Advanced Snowboard Lesson Level-7
Level Seven snowboarders are confident advance snowboarders who carve turns of varying radius' on intermediate and are refining this technique on black runs. These snowboarders experiment with dynamic turning (free riding lines per the terrain) on and off-piste. Confident enough to snowboard open trees, or shallow powder runs off-piste. Confident short radius turns and carving turns on all red runs on-piste. Maybe venturing into bump runs on occasions.
