NOASC Niseko runs our famous lessons from early December until late April. Our most popular lessons are our private ski lessons. Kids, semi-private, powder lessons, and technique lessons available.
Beginner Ski Lesson - Level 1

A Level One lesson is a basic introduction to moving around on your skis, basic turning, and how to stop. Level one skiers are beginner skiers who haven't skied for several years, and/or only a couple of hours before. May being already riding the beginner lift. A great place to start your skiing journey again!

Backcountry Tourer Lesson Level-11
At level eleven you are a very competent skier in all conditions; with a backpack; in heavy snow through to deep powder, on all terrain. Level eleven skiers able to select the safest backcountry route, analyse present and future snow conditions through snow stability tests, weather forcasts. These skiers can plan and travel through the backcountry in all snow conditions, using varying navigation techniques, on overnight, and/or multi-day tours.

Backcountry Explorer Ski Lesson Level-10
Level ten skiers are very confident skiers in all conditions, enjoying skiing all the mountain on and off-piste, with regularly skiing in the backcountry. Level ten skiers are continuing to learn about skiing techniques in the backcountry, backcountry travel (including hiking up techniques), snow stability tests, and backcountry safety, on full-day lessons.

Intermediate Beginner Ski Lesson Level-2
Level Two skiers are cautious novices who are able to do a snowplough (wedge / pizza slice) turn both ways and can stop. These skiers can link turns but not smoothly. Level two skiers may have skied once or twice before for a couple of hours or days, on beginner slopes.

Backcountry Ski Lesson - Level 9

Level nine skiers are confident advanced skiers who ski all mountain runs on and off-piste, venturing out into the backcountry (non-patrolled/no snow control) areas. Level nine skiers are learning about skiing techniques in the backcountry, basic backcountry safe travel, on half-day tours.

Advanced Beginner Ski Lesson Level-3
Level Three skiers are novices who are able to snowplough (wedge / pizza slice) turn both ways and stop confidently. These skiers can link turns smoothly keeping constant radius on beginner (green) to intermediate (shown as red in Japan ) ski runs. Level Three skiers may have skied for several days and have no problem getting on or off lifts.

Mountain Explorer Ski Lesson Level-8
Level eight skiers are confident advanced skiers who ski parallel turns on all terrain and in all snow conditions. Level eight skiers can ski with carving turns on black runs. Level eight skiers regularly ski off-piste on in varying terrain, including open and closed tree runs, in shallow ankle through to waist deep powder, generally within ski resort boundaries. Learning about backcountry skiing and skiing outside resort boundaries.

Beginner Intermediate Ski Lesson Level-4
Level Four skiers are cautious intermediate skiers who are able to snowplough, linking turns, and stop confidently. These skiers can link turns smoothly keeping constant radius on beginner (green) to intermediate (shown in red within Japan) ski runs with skis sometimes becoming parallel on completion of turns, at moderate speed.

Intermediate Ski Lesson - Level 5

Level Five skiers are confident intermediate skiers who are able to ski parallel turns, linking turns, and stop confidently on intermediate runs. These skiers ski relatively fast, but may have difficulty on steeper, icy, or bumpy intermediate runs. May still use a wedge (intermediate stem christie) to initate turns.

Advanced Ski Lesson - Level 7

Level Seven skiers are confident intermediate skiers who ski parallel turns of varying radius' on intermediate and black runs. These skiers experiement with dynamic turning on and off-piste. Confident enough to ski open trees, or shallow powder runs off-piste. Using their poles for timing turns. Confident short radius turns and carving turns on blue runs on-piste. Maybe venturing into moguls on occassions.

Advanced Intermediate Ski Lesson Level-6
Level six skiers are confident intermediate skiers who are able to ski parallel turns of varying radius' on intermediate runs. These skiers ski relatively fast and venture of into the powder occassionally on the edge of the runs. Still not confident enough to ski open trees, or natural powder runs off-piste. Using their poles for timing turns. Learning to carve and steer their skis in turns on piste.
