Nearing the top of Mt. Yotei's crater rim one has the option of branching off to the Mt Yotei Mountain hut (open from mid-June to mid-October, small fee for overnight stay, rain water available), or continuing on to the highest point (1898m) on the crater rim, located on the eastern side of Kimobetsu. NOASC offers various hiking and overnight "Trekking" tours up Mt. Yotei. Mt. Yotei can be climbed from Kyogoku, Hirafu, Makkari and Rusutsu sides. Kutchan Course gives one great views of Mt. Niseko Annupuri and the Niseko Mountain range disappearing across to the west coast of Hokkaido.
