Niseko Kagami Lake Hiking
Niseko Annupuri Hiking Tour - Kagami course
Kagaminuma "Mirror Lake" is a low level (2nd level) half day
hiking tour. This lake, on a still day is known for its brillant reflections of
nearby Mount Niseko Annupuri. Varying access routes make it a
great tour for customers of average fitness, and/or persons with limited time.

Access by Vehicle
From Sapporo
Via National Highway Route No.230 to Jozankei, to Nakayama Pass to Kutchan, approx.93Km, 2.5hours (please note traffic can be heavy during national holiday periods in May and August)
Via National Highway No.5 to Otaru, to Yoichi, to Kutchan, approx.85km, 3 hours.
From New Chitose Airport
Via National Highway No.36 from central Chitose City take State Highway No.16 to Lake Shikotsu, turn onto state highway No.276 at Lake Shikotsu, to Kimobetsu town, to Kyogoku town, to Kutchan town, and finally Niseko Hirafu. Approx. 115km, taking approximately 2hrs 15mins. Please do not use the Expressway as this is not the fastest or easiest we to get to us.
From Hakodate
Via National highway Route No.5 to Kutchan, then turn up state highway No.343 to Niseko Hirafu ski resort. Approx 180km, 3.5 hours.
Using JR Hokkaido Railways
Please get off your train at JR Kutchan Train Station where we will pick you up (Bookings required).
When coming from Sappor it is more convenient to get off at Kutchan station that is closer to Niseko Hirafu Ski Resort. If coming from Hakodate city or southern Hokkaido get off at JR Niseko train station and we will pick you up. Please make sure you tell us your estimated arrival time.
Other methods of transport
Niseko and Chou Bus companies run special daily services during the summer months of July 1st to 31st August.

Shimukappu / Tomamu / Furano
Access by Vehicle
From Sapporo
When using the expressway : take the Dochuo Expressway from the Dohigashi Expressway to National Route No. 274 via Yubari. Approximately 148 km. It should take around 2 hours 15 minutes.
When not using the expressways: take National Route No. 274 via Yubari to Shimukappu Village. It is about 130 km and should take you about 3 hours to get to us.
From Furano
Take National Route No.38, then turn onto National Route No. 237 handing for Shimukappu/Hidaka towns. Approximately 41 km and should take you about 50 minutes.
From Alpha Resort Tomamu
Approximatley 31 km, taking approximatley 35 minutes
From Obihiro
It is approximately 117 km via Shintoku town, Karakachi Pass, then Alpha Resort Tomamu, as you enter the out skirts of Shimukappu Village turn right the lights and head towards Furnao on National Route No. 237. We are located at Yunozawa Onsen on the right about 5 minutes drive from the lights. Approximately 117km, taking you about 2 hours 20 minutes.
When using JR Hokkaido Train
Get off at JR Shimukappu Train Station and we will pick you up from the station.

Akan
(Akan Tours ONLY run for group tours)
Access by Vehicle
From Akan lake (Akan Onsen (Hot Springs))
Take National HIghway No. 240 heading for Kushiro. When you arrive at Chou Village, turn right onto National HIghway No. 274 cross over the Chou bridge running over Akan river and travel ablout 10 minutes to the Village of Fubushinai. Approximately 42 km and should take you about 45-50 minutes.
From Kushiro
Take National Route No. 240 heading for Akan Lake. When you enter Akan Town about half-way to Lake Akan, turn left onto National Route No.222 heading for the Village of Fubushinai. Approximately 45 km from Kushiro and should take you about 45 minutes to 1 hours drive.
From Kushiro Airport
Approximately 21 Km taking approximately 25 minutes

2015 Technical Rope Rescue (TRR-T)
Technical Rope Rescue
This course introduces the student to rescue techniques using ropes. Utilizing “discovery learning” techniques, the current rescue technology and methods, the student is taught the necessary skills to effectively and safely carry out technical rope rescues in environments ranging from simple embankment (low angle) through to vertical cliff (man-made structures) rescues.
The course covers basic and specialized equipment, ropes and rigging techniques/methods, anchor selection, safety aspects involved with these riggings, rescue scene management and organisation, special problem scenarios, ascending and descending systems, abseiling (rappelling), belaying, lowering and raising systems, Telphers, highline rescue systems, bipod/tripod systems, and rescue stretcher (litter) management.
